NRPP EDUCATION & TRAINING

 NRPP Education & Training for Initial Certification Applicants: 

To become certified as either a Residential Measurement Service Provider or a Residential Mitigation Service Provider, one must complete an NRPP-approved  Entry-Level Course, pass the NRPP Certification Exam(s), and submit a completed NRPP Initial Application for Certification

The NRPP Certification Exams can be taken through PSI, the computer-based testing company NRPP contracts with in order for the certification exams to be offered nationwide at local testing facilities. PSI Registration Instructions are available and will provide you all the information that you will need to register and schedule your exam(s).

These study guides help students prepare for the range of material and style of questions which are covered in the national certification exams.

NRPP EDUCATION & TRAINING

NRPP Education & Training for Renewal/Recertification Applicants: 

Continuing Education must be obtained from an NRPP-approved continuing education program, Category I, or a combination of educational programs, radon conference attendance, and public outreach efforts,
Category II.

  • NRPP Professionals holding one certification (Measurement or Mitigation) must have a total of 16 credit hours.
  • NRPP Professionals holding dual certifications (Measurement and Mitigation) must have a total of 24 credit hours.

Important Note:

If a professional’s certification has been expired more than 1 year, the renewal applicant will be required to complete an NRPP-approved Re-Entry Course OR take the NRPP Certification Exam(s) in order to renew/recertify. NRPP Education & Training for the Advanced Certificate Program:

The NRPP Advanced Certificate indicates additional proficiency and education in one or more of three specialized areas: radon resistant new construction and/or multifamily testing and/or multifamily mitigation. Professionals who hold any primary certification (Residential Measurement/Mitigation), are eligible to pursue Advanced Certificate Coursework and submit a copy of their certificate(s) to NRPP and receive this special designation and recognition. 


 For Training Providers:

All entry-level and Category I continuing education courses must be approved by NRPP.
